Carlos Fabián Medina (he/him), also known as “Fabián”, is a multi-hyphenate artist from Caracas, Venezuela. His work spans theater, film, dance, and visual arts, with a focus on collaboration and cross-disciplinary exploration. With a background in Philosophy from UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela) and physical theatre training from Centro de Creación Artística TET (Taller Experimental de Teatro), Fabián boasts a diverse skill set in acting, movement, creative production, and filmmaking. In Caracas, he trained and worked with directors such as Guillermo Díaz Yuma, Carlos Sánchez Torrealba, María Fernanda Ferro, Juan Souki, Miguel Issa, Orlando Arocha, and Diana Volpe.

His recent acting credits include Miami New Drama’s “Museum Plays” (2024) and “Lincoln Road Hustle” (2025), both directed by Michel Hausmann; and “Las Aventuras de Juan Planchard” (2024), directed by acclaimed director Moisés Kaufman and co-produced by the New York-based company Tectonic Theater Project.

Medina’s multidisciplinary devised original performance work has been presented and supported by institutions such as the Knight Foundation, Miami Light Project, FUNDARTE, Locust Projects, Bistoury Physical Theatre & Film, and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. 

Currently, he is Associate Director at Miami New Drama’s “Viva La Parranda!”, a documentary-musical play directed by Juan Souki in collaboration with Betsayda Machada & Parranda El Clavo (summer 2025).

He’s a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA).
